Sling and Carrier hire

The sling library is designed to be available for people to try on and hire slings with the safety of having a babywearing consultant at hand to help with tips, tweaks and enable safe comfortable carrying. The library is accessible through the Children's centres and details are in the events tab. You'll receive about 10 minutes of advice. Most of these sessions are free to attend although some centres advise a donation of £1.50 per family.

A consult is a much more focused session available in your own home on a one2one/ one2two basis, more in-depth. This is a 1.5 hour session. Covering baby and parent's physiology, safety advice for carrying, all tailored to suit you and your baby's needs.

£25 One to One Home Consult for up to 1.5 Hrs

£30 One to Two Home Consult for up to 2 Hrs

Prices will vary if outside Barnsley.

Workshops

Workshops are group sessions of upto 5 attendees learning one skill.

Current workshops offered are

Ring slings: Covering "What is a ring sling?", front and hip carries and the different variations

Introduction to wovens: Covering "What is a woven?", learning one front carry, one hip carry and one other front/hip carry of the groups choice.

Workshops are £7.50 per person for upto 2 hours.

Slings and Carriers are available to hire from Library sessions, Consults and Workshops.

There is a fee of £5 for the first week and £2.50 for each subsequent week thereafter.
